came up with this recipe to use my fresh tomatoes.
Ingredients:
3 -4 peeled tomatoes
1 -2 clove garlic
1 -2 jalapeno pepper (seeded)
1 bell pepper (yellow or green)
1 medium onion
1 stalk celery
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon oregano
1 tablespoon parsley
Directions:
1. chop peppers,onion and celery.
2. saute in 1 tbl veg.
3. oil till transparent.
4. add tomatoes w/ liquid and spices and bring to a boil.
5. simmer covered for 30 minutes.
6. serve on grilled dogs or burgers.
