My friends and family love this dessert so much that they've given it a pet name. I love it because it's so easy and quick to put together. It's best served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Ingredients:
8 cups mixed frozen berries |
1-1/2 cups sugar |
2 cups flour |
3 tsp baking powder |
1/2 tsp salt |
1-1/2 cups milk |
4 tbls butter |
Directions:
1. Pour berries into a 9x13 casserole. 2. Sprinkle with 1 cup of sugar. 3. In a mixing bowl sift together all dry ingredients including leftover 1/2 cup of sugar. 4. Beat milk and melted butter into dry ingredients to create a batter. 5. Pour batter in an even layer over frozen berries. 6. Bake at 375 degrees until cake is brown and berries are bubbling. |
