Adapted from Pillsbury's Simply From Scratch Cookbook. Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened |
1 cup sugar |
2 teaspoons vanilla |
1 cup all-purpose flour |
1 cup rye flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon grated orange peel |

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. 2. Combine butter, sugar and vanilla, and blend well. 3. Mix in flours, baking soda, salt and orange peel. 4. Form dough into 1 balls and place 2 apart on ungreased cookie sheets. 5. Flatten each ball slightly, using a glass dipped in sugar. 6. Bake until light golden brown, 10-14 minutes. |
