My grandmother always made these in fall and winter. Best served warm, with hot cocoa or coffee. Ingredients:
1 egg white |
1 tablespoon water |
1 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 lb pecan halves |
Directions:
1. Combine sugar, salt, and cinnamon Beat egg white and water to a froth. 2. Dip pecan halfs in egg white froth. 3. Then dip in sugar mixture. 4. Place in a shallow pan And bake 300 degrees for up to 30 to 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. 5. Careful not to burn. 6. let cool till warm and enjoy. |
