Ingredients:
2 cups sugar |
1/2 cup water |
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar |
2 teaspoons vanilla extract |
4 cups pecan halves |
Directions:
1. Combine sugar, water, cinnamon, and cream of tartar in a small Dutch oven; stir well. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring constantly until mixture reaches soft ball stage (240°). Remove from heat. Add vanilla and pecans, and stir until sugar begins to harden. 2. Immediately spread pecans on waxed paper, and separate into clusters with a spoon. Let cool. |
