These spiced nuts are terrific for entertaining. Or, pack them in cellophane bags for a great homemade gift. âNorma Granley, Ronan, Montana Ingredients:
1/4 cup sugar |
2 tablespoons honey |
1 tablespoon olive oil |
1 teaspoon ground ginger |
1 teaspoon curry powder |
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper |
3 cups pecan halves |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine the first six ingredients; microwave, uncovered, on high for 15 seconds. Add pecans; toss to coat. 2. Microwave, uncovered, 3-4 minutes longer or until lightly browned, stirring after each minute. Spread onto waxed paper to cool. Sprinkle with salt. Store in an airtight container. Yield: about 3 cups. |
