These are simple to make and wonderful to eat. They can be served as by themselves as a sweet treat, used as a topping for ice cream. Decorate iced cookies or garnish a Cosmopolitan. Any way they are good Ingredients:
3/4 c granulated white sugar |
3/4 c water |
12 oz fresh cranberries, rinsed and picked through |
2 c granulated white sugar |
Directions:
1. Combine the 3/4 cups sugar and water 2. Heat over medium heat until dissolved to make a simple syrup 3. Add the cranberries and remove from heat immediately 4. Place a piece of waxed paper about 16 long on the counter 5. Put the last two cups of sugar in a shallow dish 6. Drain the cranberries (reserve the syrup for use in making cocktails!) 7. Toss in the sugar a few at a time 8. Place on wax paper to until sugar coating is set and dry |
