Sugar glazed asparagus with a hint of sesame Ingredients:
1/2 lb asparagus, raw |
1/4 tbsp smart balance |
1/2 tbsp brown sugar |
1/4 cup chicken broth |
1/4 tsp sesame oil |
Directions:
1. In a skillet over medium-high, heat butter and brown sugar until sugar is dissolved. 2. Add asparagus; saute for 2 minutes. 3. Stir in chicken broth; bring to a boil. 4. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 5 minutes or until asparagus is crisp-tender. 5. Remove asparagus to a serving dish and keep warm. 6. Cook sauce, uncovered, until reduced by half. 7. Pour over asparagus and serve immediately. |
