A sweet and spicey nut that I love! Ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon black pepper |
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper |
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
2 cups walnut halves |
Directions:
1. Combine sugar, black pepper, cayenne pepper, ginger and salt in small bowl. 2. Heat heavy medium skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Add walnuts in single layer; cook 3 minutes or until fragrant and lightly browned, stirring frequently. 3. Stir in sugar mixture; cook 1 minute or until walnuts are well-coated with sugar, stirring constantly. (Do not let sugar dissolve completely; leave some grainy texture on the walnuts.). 4. Place on plate; cool. |
