I usually make these during the holidays, but can be made when ever. Great for snacking or sprinkled on a salad. Ingredients:
4 cups halved pecans or 4 cups walnuts |
1 cup sugar or 1 cup splenda sugar substitute |
5 teaspoons water |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. In a large non-stick skillet, combine ingredients except nuts. 2. Add nuts and stir to coat. 3. Spread in one layer on waxed paper to dry. 4. Dry completely before storing. 5. Keep in air tight container. |
