1/2 cup sugar |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
1 cup shortening |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 egg |
2 cups flour |
1 teaspoon cream of tartar |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon salt |

Directions:
1. Cream together the sugar, brown sugar and shortening, vanilla and egg. 2. Add the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt; mix well. 3. Roll into 1-inch balls then roll in sugar. Place balls 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet. 4. Bake at 350°F oven for 10 minutes, or until lightly browned. |
