Cant remeber where i found this recipe, but its easy, and fun to cut out shapes with! Great for the holidays! if you role to dough out on to baking parchment, you can cut the shapes out and transfer the baking parchment right to the cookie sheet! dont have to worry about the cookies sticking to the counter! Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups butter, soft |
3 cups sugar |
4 eggs |
2 teaspoons vanilla |
5 cups flour |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
1 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. mix flour, baking powder and salt together and set aside.
2. cream together butter and sugar till smooth.
3. beat in eggs and vanilla.
4. add the dry mixture, and combine.
5. Cover and chill for half and hour to an hour.
6. roll dough on baking parchment and cut cookies.
7. cook in pre-heated oven of 400*F for 6 to 8 min
8. let the cookies cool beforing icing them.
