Sugar and Spice Popcorn from New Dieter's Cookbook by Better Homes and Garden, p.57. Ingredients:
6 cups of air-popped plain popcorn |
2 tablespoons sugar |
2 teaspoons water |
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg |
1/8 teaspoon ground ginger |
Directions:
1. Spray cookie sheet with cooking spray. 2. In a bowl, stir together sugar, water, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger. Drizzle spice mixture over popcorn in baking pan. Toss popcorn until coated. bake in a 350 oven for 15 minutes, stirring once or twice. 3. Transfer the hot popcorn from the baking sheet to a large piece of foil. Cool popcorn completely. Store leftovers in a tightly covered container. Makes 4 servings (1.5 cups per serving). |
