Sugar and Spice Candied Pecans |

Holiday Treats! Can them for gifts! Top Christmas cookies with them! Garnish a salad with them. Or just eat them as is yummy good. Decorate a cake or pumpkin pie with them. Ok you know what you better double the recipe! Ingredients:
3 cups pecan halves |
1/4 cup butter, melted |
1 cup sugar |
1/4 cup water |
1 teaspoon salt |
2 teaspoons cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon cardamom |
1/2 teaspoon fresh grated nutmeg |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. 2. Butter large cookies sheets. 3. Heat in a saucepan melted butter, water and sugar till sugar is dissolved, add spices and pecans stirring till well coated about 3-5 minutes. 4. Transfer to cookie sheet and bake until golden about 10 minutes. 5. Cool store in airtight containers. |
