Suet Cake for bird feeding Ingredients:
1 lb lard |
1 cup oatmeal |
1 cup ginger |
1 cup dried cracked corn |
1 cup sunflower seeds, chips |
1/4 cup cayenne pepper |
1/3 cup molasses |
1/3 cup olive oil |
1/3 cup yeast culture |
6 cups cornmeal |
5 cups all-purpose flour |
Directions:
1. Melt lard on low heat in a saucepan. 2. Poor into a really large mixing bowl. 3. Stir in other ingredients in above order. 4. Pour Mix into cake pan,cool and cut into blocks to fit your feeder. 5. Freeze in zip lock bags. |
