You can't get any easier than this. This is my Mother-in-law's recipe. She swears it is the best homemade vanilla ice cream you will ever eat, and I seem to agree with her. Ingredients:
2 quarts half-and-half cream |
2 cups sugar (i use only 1 cup to make it a bit 'healthier') |
2 tablespoons vanilla |
Directions:
1. Mix all together in a large bowl. 2. Pour into ice cream maker, follow manufacturers instuctions. 3. If you prefer, you may transfer into a freezable container to freeze for a couple hours before serving. |
