Ingredients:
1 cup(s) light brown sugar |
1/2 cup(s) shortening |
1 egg beaten |
1 1/2 cup(s) flour sifted |
1/2 teaspoon(s) baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt |
1 teaspoon(s) cinnamom |
1 teaspoon(s) vanilla |
1/2 cup(s) raisins |
Directions:
1. Cream together the sugar and shortening 2. Add beaten egg and vanilla 3. Sift together the dry ingredients 4. Stir dry mixture into egg mixture a little at a time and blend well 5. Fold in the raisins 6. Form into small balls and place on greased cookie sheet, 3 inches apart 7. Bake at 375 degrees for 12-15 minutes 8. Makes 3 dozen 9. Thjis recipe may also be made by substituting 1/2 cup chocolate chips for the raisins and omitting the cinnamom |
