Stumps Raisin Oatmeal Loaf

My grandma always called this a 'crumby cake' because it tends to be light and fall apart - though always well worth it!
Ingredients:
1c shortening/butter
1c sugar
2 eggs
2c flour
1tsp baking soda
3tsp cinnamon
2/3c milk
3tsp vanilla
2c rolled oats
1c raisins
1/2c finely chopped nuts
Directions:
1. Cream shortening/butter and sugar.
2. Add eggs one at a time and beat until thoroughly blended.
3. Sift together: flour, baking soda, and cinnamon.
4. Combine milk and vanilla and add to the creamed mixture alternately with dry ingredients.
5. Stir in oats, raisins,and nuts.
6. Spoon into 2 greased 4 x 7 1/2 loaf pans.
7. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. Turn out pans onto a wire rack.
8. Let stand over night before slicing.
