Traditional stuffing that is sure to please everyone, Easy to make and is the perfect side for that Thanksgiving bird. Ingredients:
1 bag - pepperidge farms white stuffing croutons |
2 cans - 15.25 ozs. - chicken broth |
1 lbs. - favorite breakfast sausage |
2 - 3 medium sized apples |
butter or margarine as bag recipe specifies |
1/4 teaspoon ground sage |
Directions:
1. Peel and core apples. 2. Using a mandolin, slice apples thinly and cut slices into thirds. Set aside. 3. Brown sausage pressing with spatula to crumble. Drain and set aside. 4. Preheat oven to 350. 5. Prepare stuffing mix per instructions on bag, substituting chicken broth for water and adding sage. 6. Add apples and sausage and place in an 8x8 pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray. 7. Bake for 15 minutes to heat ingredients evenly. 8. Enjoy |
