My mother always froze the crusts of a loaf a bread and pulled them out when she made thes. It is delicious and easy Ingredients:
1tsp butter |
1/4 cup olive oil |
4 crusts of bread |
1 tbsp sage |
1tsp poultry seasoning |
4 large potatoes; boiled (leave skins on) |
salt & pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Heat skillet. 2. Meanwhile rip up crusts of bread into bitesize pieces. 3. Put oil & butter in skillet. 4. When butter is melted add sage & poultry seasoning. 5. Toss in bread stir until coated. 6. Meanwhile carefully cube hot potatoes and add to bread. 7. Fry until desired crispiness. 8. Add salt & pepper to taste |
