I was going through my recipes and found this one. Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs round steaks |
1/4 cup finely chopped onion |
1/2 cup chopped celery |
3 tablespoons butter |
2 cups of cubed day old bread |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon sage |
1 dash pepper |
1 tablespoon chopped parsley |
1 tablespoon water |
4 -6 tablespoons oil |
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can mushroom soup |
1/2 cup flour |
1 cup water |
Directions:
1. Pound steak to flatten. 2. Lightly cook onion and celery in butter 3. until golden. 4. add bread cubes, seasonings, parsley and water. 5. Cut meat into 4 pieces 6. Spread meat with dressing mixture. 7. Roll up 8. fasten with toothpicks. 9. roll in flour. 10. brown in hot oil. 11. Dilute soup with 1 cup of water. 12. pour over meat. 13. cover 14. simmer over low heat for 1 hour 30 minutes. |
