Green Peppers stuffed with turkey and rice Ingredients:
6 large green peppers |
1 lb ground turkey |
2 t chopped onion |
1 clove garlic |
1 tsp salt |
1 c cooked rice |
15 oz tomato sauce |
2 t grated cheese |
Directions:
1. Slice tops off of peppers and scoop out seeds 2. Boil peppers in 6 quarts of water for 4-5 min 3. Saute onions in a med fry pan. Add turkey, salt and garlic and cook until meat is browned. Add 1 cup tomato sauce to the meat mixture. Stir in cooked rice. Spoon mixture into peppers. Pour remaining sauce over the peppers. 4. Bake peppers, covered, in 350 degree oven for 45 min, then uncovered for an additional 15 min. |
