My sister Cassie loves these! Ingredients:
4 bell peppers, all colors |
1 lb ground beef |
1/2 large onion, chopped |
1/3 cup uncooked rice (or uncooked noodles) |
1 tablespoon sugar |
salt and pepper |
3 (14 1/2 ounce) cans stewed tomatoes with garlic |
Directions:
1. Cut top half peppers off, clean out seeds. 2. In large skillet cook remaining ingredients until meat is browned and crumbled. 3. Stuff peppers with meat mixture. 4. In now empty skillet pour 1 1/2 cans of stewed tomatoes. 5. Place peppers on top, then pour remaining 1 1/2 cans of stewed tomatoes on top of peppers. 6. Cover and simmer on medium heat for 30-45 minutes, pouring tomato juices over peppers consistently. |
