These meatballs are filled with googy mozerella cheese Ingredients:
1 1/2 pound ground beef |
1/2 pound ground sausage |
2 eggs slightly beaten |
1/2 cup bread crumbs |
1/2 cup finely chopped onions |
1 1/2 tbls italian seasoning |
3 garlic cloves chopped |
1tsp seasoning salt |
salt and pepper to taste |
24 small balls of smoked mozzarella |
1 pound penne pasta |
1 (28 oz) jar spaghetti sauce |
1 can tomato paste |
3 cloves crushed garlic |
1 tablespoon oregano or italian seasoning |
1/2 onion chopped |
salt and pepper to taste. |
Directions:
1. Combine ground beef, ground sausage, egg, bread crumbs, 3 garlic cloves, season salt, 1 1/2 tbls italian seasoning and salt and pepper. 2. Do not over mix. 3. take a ball of mozzarella and mold ground beef mixture over it. 4. Make sure to cover at least a 1/2 inch on all sides. 5. Bake in oven 25 minutes. 6. Cook penne according to directions on box. 7. While meatballs are cooking, add spaghetti sauce, tomato paste, garlic, onions and oregano to boil in sauce pan. 8. Once meatballs are done, drain excess oil and put into spaghetti sauce. 9. Cook for an additional 10 minutes. 10. Serve over pasta |
