These are very similar to the peppers served at Billy Ogdens in Buffalo, NY. You won't be disappointed with this dish. Ingredients:
1/3 cup ground italian sausage |
1/3 cup ricotta |
1 8oz cream cheese room temp |
1 tbs garlic powder |
3 tbs grated romano cheese |
2 teaspoons italian seasoning |
1/3 cup italian bread crumbs |
1 tbs olive oil |
8 cubanelles for mild or 8 anaheim peppers for spicy |
Directions:
1. Brown sausage, drain, cool and chop fine 2. Mix all ingredients together 3. Divide by 8 and roll into logs 4. Cut tops off peppers an remove seeds 5. Stuff the logs into the peppers 6. Pan fry the peppers in evoo turning until browned on all sides 7. Some of the filling will come out of the peppers and brown 8. Thats the best part |
