Stuffed Green Bell Peppers |

When our garden is brimming with fresh green peppers this is a favorite way to fix them. These are very good. Ingredients:
6 medium green peppers |
1 1/2 lbs ground beef |
1 cup cooked rice |
1/2 cup chopped onion |
1/2 cup chopped celery |
1 cup diced tomato |
1 teaspoon minced garlic |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
1 (10 ounce) can tomato soup |
1/2 teaspoon basil |
Directions:
1. Cut tops off peppers, remove seeds. 2. Drop in boiling water for 3 minutes. 3. Drain, rinse in cold water. 4. In a bowl, combine the next 8 ingredients. 5. Spoon into peppers. 6. Put in a greased 13x9-inch pan. 7. Mix soup and basil. 8. Spoon over peppers. 9. Cover and bake at 350°F for 1 hour. |
