This is exotic, easy, quick and a wonderful experience for your taste buds. I serve these along with other assorted Moroccan appetizers. The rose petal spread is found at Mid-eastern, Indian groceries or at gourmet stores. Read more . I love rose petal jam. I make ice cream, cake icing, mousses from the stuff. Rose petal baked goods are best served the day they are prepared. A day or so the flavor is not as vibrant in my opinion Ingredients:
16 pitted moist dates |
1/4 cup thick greek yogurt or as needed |
1- 2 tbs rose petal spread or preserves or as desired to taste |
chopped walnuts for garnish |
Directions:
1. Mix the yogurt and rose petal spread together 2. Slit dates and spoon in a small amount of rose petal yogurt 3. Place on a few chopped walnuts. 4. Cover and chill till serving time 5. Note: If you can't find rose petal spread or preserves, try to get some rose petal syrup ( not water ) and drizzle over the yogurt stuffed dates instead so as to keep the rose petal fragrance in the recipe |
