I had these at a congregation in Waco, TX and went home and prepared them myself! Used them for Rosh HaShanah and they were a hit! Tip: If the dates are too soft, put them in the freezer for two hours before you begin. Ingredients:
15 dates |
0.5 (8 ounce) package cream cheese |
2/3 lb pecan halves |
Directions:
1. Slice each date in half. 2. Remove the pit of each date. 3. Fill each date half with 1/2 teaspoon of cream cheese. (or as much or as little cream cheese as you desire! It's according to taste!). 4. Place a pecan half on top of each cream cheese-filled date half. 5. Refrigerate or serve immediately. |
