Prep time does not include time to cook rice (as this differs with the method used by chef). Cook time does not include reheating time. I have not used the crock pot to reheat these; I wonder if this too could be done? Ingredients:
12 large green peppers |
2 cups all purpose ground meat (all purpose ground meat mix) |
2 cups white rice, cooked |
2 teaspoons paprika |
4 garlic cloves, minced |
24 ounces tomato sauce |
21 1/2 ounces tomato soup (save this until you are ready to serve) |
Directions:
1. Cut off tops of green peppers; remove seeds. 2. Mix together Ground Meat Mix, cooked rice, paprika, garlic, and tomato sauce. 3. Stuff meat and rice mixture into green peppers. 4. Place in roasting pan. 5. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 40 minutes. 6. Cool. 7. Wrap individually in foil; label and freeze. 8. TO SERVE:. 9. Unwrap stuffed peppers. 10. Place in roasting pan. 11. Pour tomato soup over peppers. 12. Heat at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 minutes. 13. OR unwrap and cook in microwave oven. Since every microwave is different, use YOUR judgment on the time and temperature. |
