This is a modification of a Better Homes and Gardens recipe. It is luscious! Ingredients:
1-1/2 lb. sirloin |
2-3 slices bacon, diced |
1/2 cup chopped onion |
1/2 tsp salt (or to taste) |
1/4 tsp paprika |
dash black pepper |
1 can cream of mushroom soup |
1/8 lb. chopped fresh mushrooms (opt.) |
hot buttered noodles with dashes of oregano and thyme |
Directions:
1. Lightly freeze sirloin - just until easily sliced. 2. Slice steak paper thin, or it will be tough. 3. Spray skillet with cooking spray. 4. Brown steak with bacon. 5. Add onion; cook until onion is softened, but not caramelized. 6. Drain part of grease. 7. Add seasonings; stir in soup (and mushrooms, if using). 8. Cook slowly, uncovered, 20 minutes, stirring frequently. 9. Serve over noodles. |
