My boyfriend absolutely loves my version of the standard bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich! We eat them at least once a week. Easy to make, tastes great! Perfect for summer meals when it's too hot to heat up the kitchen with a lot of cooking as bacon can be microwaved if desired. Ingredients:
4 slices bacon |
2 eggs |
2 slices beefsteak tomatoes |
4 leaves lettuce |
2 slices provolone cheese |
4 slices of toasted french bread |
2 teaspoons mayonnaise |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. Cook bacon, saving the drippings. Remove to paper towels to drain. 2. Fry eggs in bacon drippings. 3. Arrange all ingredients on toasted bread, dividing evenly to make two sandwiches. |
