This is a recipe I got from my sister in law. It would be very easy to change up the ingredients to your favorite pizza toppings. Ingredients:
1 pizza crust (pillsbury) |
2 tablespoons olive oil |
2 egg yolks, reserve |
2 egg whites |
1 tablespoon parmesan cheese |
1 teaspoon italian seasoning |
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper |
1 (6 ounce) package pepperoni |
1 (3 7/8 ounce) can sliced ripe olives |
1 (4 1/2 ounce) jar sliced mushrooms |
2 cups part-skim mozzarella cheese, shredded |
1 (15 1/2 ounce) jar pizza sauce |
Directions:
1. Spread dough out. 2. Make a paste of next 6 ingredients (olive oil, egg yolks, parmesan cheese, italian seasoning, garlic powder and black pepper); Spread evenly over the dough. 3. Add pizza toppings. 4. Add a little pizza sauce. 5. Add cheese. 6. Roll up like a jelly roll - both ends to the middle (long ends). Seal along the seam and the ends. 7. Place on baking sheet seam side down. 8. Brush top with slightly beaten egg whites. 9. Bake at 350F for 30-40 minutes. 10. Serve with remaining pizza sauce, warmed. |
