Another Rick Hamby invention. (Rachel Ray's term for half stew, half soup.) Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef |
1 medium onion, chopped ('3/4 cup) |
1 can mushroom bits & pieces |
1 pkg. mccormick au jus mix |
2 cups dry extra-wide krinkly egg noodles. |
salt and pepper to taste |
3 cups water |
1-10.5 oz.can cream of mushroom soup |
1 cup (8 oz. tub) sour cream |
Directions:
1. - Brown hamburger with onion and garlic. 2. - Add mushroom pieces, au jus mix, noodles and water. 3. - Add salt and pepper to taste. 4. - Bring to boil and cook 10 minutes. 5. - Add soup and sour cream. 6. - Simmer 5 minutes more, until reheats. |
