Turn a regular cake into a rich, moist treat with creamy pudding stripes in every bite! Ingredients:
1 (18 ounce) package yellow cake mix |
3 eggs (or as called for by your cake mix) |
1/3 cup oil (or as called for by your cake mix) |
1 1/3 cups water (or as called for by your cake mix) |
2 (3 1/2 ounce) packages chocolate instant pudding |
1 cup powdered sugar |
4 cups cold milk |
cool whip |
Directions:
1. Bake cake as directed on in a 9x13 pan. 2. Remove from oven. 3. Using the handle of a wooden spoon, poke holes in the cake at 1/2 inch intervals. 4. In large bowl, combine pudding mixes and powdered sugar. 5. Gradually stir in 4 cups of cold milk. 6. Beat at low speed for one minute. 7. Quickly pour 1/2 of the thin pudding evenly over the warm cake. 8. Allow remaining pudding to thicken and spoon and spread over the top of the cake. 9. Chill at least 1 hour. 10. Serve each piece with a dollop of cool whip. 11. You can experiment with different flavors of cake and pudding if you like. |
