STRAWBERRY YOGURT CHIFFON PIE I obtained this recipe from an estate sale when I purchased the family collection from the Meier Estate in Canton, Texas in 1994. Ingredients:
2 envelopes unflavored gelatin |
12 packets equal |
1 cup water |
2 cups plain yogurt |
6 ounce can frozen strawberry daiquiri concentrate thawed |
12 ounces strawberry preserves |
1 envelope whipped cream |
1 graham cracker pie shell |
toasted unsweetened coconut |
Directions:
1. Combine gelatin, sugar and water in saucepan. 2. Cook over low heat stirring constantly until gelatin is dissolved. 3. Place yogurt in bowl then gradually add strawberry concentrate. 4. Stir in gelatin mixture until smooth. 5. In separate bowl make up whipped cream per directions. 6. Combine with strawberry mixture then add preserves and chill until firm. 7. Turn onto crust and garnish with toasted coconut. |
