This recipe is from Busy Woman's Cookbook . Authored by Sharon and Gene McFall. Ingredients:
2 cups fresh strawberries or 2 cups frozen strawberries |
1 cup sugar |
1 (3 ounce) box strawberry gelatin |
1 pint vanilla ice cream |
1 (9 inch) pie crusts, baked |
whipped topping |
Directions:
1. Combine strawberries and sugar. 2. Let stand for 10 minutes. 3. Drain off liquid and measure. 4. Add water to make 1 cup. 5. Pour liquid into saucepan and heat to boiling and pour over gelatin. 6. Stir until dissolved. 7. Add ice cream and stir until melted. 8. Add berries and mix. 9. Pour into 9-inch baked pie crust. 10. Chill. 11. Top with whipped topping. |
