Strawberry Swirl Mascarpone Cheesecake With Balsam...

I came up with this after having strawberries with balsamic vinegar. I know it sounds wierd, but its so good. This cheesecake is fantastic! Dont let the balsamic syrup scare you!
Ingredients:
crust
1 cup toasted almonds, processed to crumbs
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
4 tablespoons butter
filling
1 (8 oz) pkg mascarpone cheese
2 (8 oz) pkgs. cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 egg yolk
1/4 cup whipping cream
2 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
strawberry sauce
1 cup strawberries
2 tablespoons sugar
balsamic syrup
1 cup balsamic vinegar
1/2 cup sugar
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Grease 9 springform pan.
3. Stir together crust ingredients and press into pan.
4. Bake for 5-7 minutes.
5. Beat cheeses and sugar until smooth, 2-3 minutes.
6. Add remaining filling ingredients , beat until smooth.
7. Pour half of filling into pan.
8. Make strawberry sauce by combining strawberries and sugar in saucepan.
9. Let boil until soft, then blend until smooth in blender.
10. Drop half of strawberry sauce by spoonfulls onto top of cheesecake batter.
11. Pour other half of batter into pan, then drop remaining strawberry sauce by spoonfulls onto top of batter and swirl with knife.
12. Wrap bottom of pan with foil.
13. Place pan into baking dish and pour hot water into baking dish until half full.
14. Bake 1 hour or until set around edges. Center should be slightly jiggly.
15. Let cool then refridgerate overnight.
16. To make balsamic syrup, combine balsamic vinegar with sugar in saucepan.
17. Bring to a boil and let cook 5 min or until slightly thickened.
18. Let cool. It with thicken up quite a bit after cooling.
19. To serve, drizzle slice of cheesecake with balsamic syrup. Only drizzle! A little goes a long way!
