This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Paulson Estate in Boise, Idaho in 1994. Ingredients:
1 cup sifted flour |
1/4 cup brown sugar |
1/2 cup butter melted |
2 egg whites |
1 cup granulated sugar |
2 cups fresh sliced berries |
2 tablespoons lemon juice |
1 cup cream whipped |
Directions:
1. Mix flour sugar and butter and spread in cookie pan with edge. 2. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. 3. Stir 4 times. 4. Spread 2/3 of crumbs in rectangular baking dish. 5. Mix egg whites, sugar, lemon juice and berries together.. 6. Beat 10 minutes at high speed then fold in whipped cream 7. Pour over crumbs and sprinkle remaining crumbs on top. 8. Freeze at least 6 hours. |
