I plan to use sugar free maple syrup. I found this recipe in Remedy Life magazine. I have not tried this recipe, but I'm posting it for safe keeping. Ingredients:
2 pints fresh strawberries (16oz) or 4 cups frozen unsweetened strawberries, thawed |
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice |
2 tablespoons pure maple syrup |
Directions:
1. Place berries in a food processor; process them into chunky puree. 2. Transfer puree to a small saucepan over low heat. Heat until warm. Stir in lemon juice and maple syrup. |
