Strawberry Salad In Puff Pastry Shells |

Thanksgiving 2007 Dinner List. . .Yeppers, I am making a menu list for me for Thanksgivings to come and this 1st course dish is beautiful, full of flavor and easy! I may or may not include it in my menu for next Thanksgiving but I will always have this Thanksgiving menu at my finger tips =D Ingredients:
1 quart strawberries, hulled and quartered |
3 t. sugar |
1 t. balsamic vinegar |
1 t. finely minced tarragon or mint + more for garnish |
1 package frozen puff pastry shells |
1 t. milk |
2 t. strawberry jam |
Directions:
1. In a bowl, stir strawberries, 2 Tablespoons sugar, balsamic vinegar and tarragon. Refrigerate 1 hour. 2. Heat oven to 400 degrees. *Brush tops of pastry shells with milk, sprinkle with remaining sugar. Bake 22 min. Remove from oven and remove tops, set aside. 3. Return shells to oven for additional 2 minutes. Remove from oven and brush inside of shells with strawberry jam. Spoon 1/2 cup strawberry salad into each shell. Rest top on the side and garnish with tarragon or mint sprigs and serve. Makes 6 servings =D |
