Strawberry Rhubarb, a match made in heaven or at least Ontario. What's the difference. When I was a child my mother made lots of this & I love it Ingredients:
3/4 cup sugar |
1/4 cup flour |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 teaspoon orange zest |
4 cups rhubarb, chopped |
2 cups strawberries, sliced |
1 cup flour |
1/4 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 cup butter |
2/3 cup buttermilk |
Directions:
1. Combine Sugar, flour, Cinnamon, & orange zest with fruit. 2. Spread in 8 x 8 glass baking dish. 3. Bake 10 min at 400 F degrees. 4. Topping:. 5. Mix dry ingredients together. 6. Cut in butter 7. Stir in Buttermilk. 8. Drop by spoonfuls on fruit. 9. Bake 25 min at 400 F Degrees. |
