I love preparing this cake for Valentine's day. Ingredients:

1 box white cake mix (18-1/4 oz.) |
1 cup crushed fresh strawberries |
1 pkg. (3 oz.) strawberry-flavored gelatin |
1/2 cup vegetable oil |
4 eggs, room temperature |
glaze |
1/4 cup butter or margarine |
3-1/2 cups powdered sugar |
1/4 cup mashed strawberries |
Directions:
1. Combine cake with the other ingredients in a large mixing bowl. 2. Mix for 3 - 4 minutes. 3. Pour into greased and floured tube pan. 4. Bake 325 degrees. for 45 to 55 minutes or until cake tests done. Cool in pan on a rack for 10 minutes. 5. Remove to serving plate. 6. Combine glaze ingredients until smooth and spread over cake. 7. Can be frozen with or without glaze. |
