Ingredients:
6 tablespoon(s) butter or margarine |
1/2 cup(s) sugar |
1 whole(s) egg |
1/2 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract |
1/4 teaspoon(s) almond extract |
1 1/4 cup(s) all-purpose flour |
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt |
1/2 teaspoon(s) baking powder |
1- 8 oz package(s) cream cheese softened |
1/2 cup(s) confectioner's sugar |
2 cup(s) fresh strawberries sliced |
1 cup(s) sugar |
1/4 cup(s) cornstarch |
2 cup(s) fresh strawberries crushed |
Directions:
1. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar for 2 minutes. Beat in egg 2. and extracts. Combine flour, baking powder and salt; gradually 3. add to creamed mixture and mix well. Cover and refrigerate for 1 4. hour. 5. On a floured surface, roll dough into a 13-in. circle. Transfer to an 6. ungreased 12-in. pizza pan. Build up edges slightly. Bake at 350 7. degrees F for 18-22 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool 8. completely. 9. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and confectioners' sugar until 10. smooth. Spread over crust. Arrange sliced strawberries on top. 11. In a saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch and crushed berries until 12. blended. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until 13. thickened. Cool slightly. Spoon over strawberries. Refrigerate until 14. serving. |
