This is a good pie recipe. Another one someone gave me. Ingredients:
1 cup fresh strawberries |
1 cup sugar |
3 tablespoons cornstarch |
1 cup cold water |
1 tablespoon lemon juice |
few drops red food coloring |
2 cups whole fresh berries |
1 baked pie crust |
Directions:
1. Crush fresh berries. Mix together the sugar and cornstarch. Stir in the cold water. Add the crushed berries. 2. Boil 3 to 5 minutes until the mixture is thick and cooked through. 3. Remove from the stove. 4. Add 1 tablespoon butter (or margarine) 5. few drops red food coloring 6. Place in refrigerator to cool throughly. 7. When cool, add enough whole fresh berries to fill your baked pie crust (about two cups) folding them carefully into the above mixture. 8. Place pie in the refrigerator to set. 9. Serve with fresh whipped cream or ice cream. |
