This recipe came from a local church pamphlet. Below is the recipe as I received it. You can't taste strawberries much in the original recipe, so I usually double the amount of stawberries. Also, it's very sweet, so i usually cut the sugar to 1 1/2 cups instead of 2 cups. Ingredients:
3 cups self rising flour |
1 dash salt |
2 cups strawberries, mashed |
4 eggs |
1 1/2 cups nuts, chopped |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 tablespoon cinnamon |
2 cups sugar |
1 1/3 cups oil |
Directions:
1. Mix all together until well blended. 2. Pour into 2 greased and floured loaf pans. 3. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. |
