Strawberry 'Mile-High- Frozen Dessert |

Light fluffy frozen dessert. Great for summer. Can be lightened by using splenda, according to your preferences. Ingredients:
1/2 cup brown sugar |
1/2 cup margarine |
1 cup flour |
1/4 cup chopped walnuts |
10 oz. frozen strawberries |
1/2 cup sugar |
2 tbsp lemon juice |
2 egg whites, beaten until very stiff peaks form |
8 oz lite cool whip |
Directions:
1. Mix first 4 ingredients like a pie crust. 2. Pat in 9 x 13 pan (do not pack) 3. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes. 4. Cool slightly. 5. Divide in half and crumble. 6. Pat half the baked crumbs in bottom of pan. 7. To make filling 8. Mix together strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice 9. Fold in egg whites 10. Fold in cool whip 11. Spread gently on top of crumbs 12. Top with remaining crumbs 13. Freeze 14. Take out 1 hour before serving |
