A delicious and easy dessert! Ingredients:
3 egg whites |
1/2 teaspoon baking powder |
1 cup sugar |
10 soda crackers, crushed |
1/2 cup pecans, chopped |
1 quart strawberry |
sweetened whipped cream |
Directions:
1. Beat the egg whites and baking powder until soft peaks form. 2. Add the sugar gradually and continue beating until the mixture forms stiff peaks and is glossy. 3. Fold in the crushed crackers and choppped pecans. 4. Spread in well-buttered 9 inch pie pan. 5. Bake at 300 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool on a rack. 6. Fill with unsweetened strawberries (I usually leave them whole). 7. Top with whipped cream. Chill several hours before serving. |
