about 2 baskets fresh hulled strawberries |
3/4 cup sugar (superfine works best, but granulated is fine) |
2 cups milk |
1/2 cup heavy cream |
1 tsp fresh lemon juice |
Directions:
1. In the blender, combine the strawberries, lemon juice, and sugar. 2. Add the milk and blend. 3. Pour into a bowl and add the heavy cream, stirring to combine. 4. Chill for 4-6 hours, until very cold. 5. If you have time, chill overnight for best flavor. 6. Transfer to your ice cream maker and freeze according to manufacturer's directions. 7. When it reaches the consistency of soft serve, you can serve it immediately. 8. Freeze any leftovers in an airtight container. |
