Joy Ackerman of Cincinnati, Ohio, writes: After cooking for a family of six for years, I've become a pro at streamlining recipes and being organized in the kitchen. My children are now grown and out of the house, but that hasn't changed how I cook or shop. I still make a monthly menu plan, and often find myself cooking my kids' favorite dishes whenever they visit. Ingredients:
1 10-ounce package frozen sweetened strawberries, thawed |
1 cup (2 sticks) unsweetened butter, room temperature |
3/4 cup powdered sugar |
1 1/2 teaspoons grated orange peel |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in processor. Blend until smooth, scraping bowl occasionally, about 5 minutes. Transfer strawberry butter to medium bowl. Cover and chill. (Can be made 5 days ahead. Keep chilled. Bring to room temperature before serving.) |
