Her refreshing Strawberry Breakfast Shakes are so versatile, they can double as a fast snack. I make them when I baby-sit for our 3-year-old grandson, Jamie, Marjorie explains. The shakes can also be blended and frozen ahead of time and then taken to work. Pop one in the fridge and eat it with a spoon for lunch. Ingredients:
1-1/4 cups plain yogurt |
1 package (10 ounces) frozen sweetened sliced strawberries |
2/3 cup milk |
2/3 cup crushed ice |
1 tablespoon honey |
4 whole strawberries |
Directions:
1. In a blender, combine the first five ingredients; cover and process mixture until smooth and thickened. Pour into chilled glasses. Garnish with whole strawberries. Serve immediately. Yield: 4 servings. |
